This good boy is a total catch!

Hey batter batter! Oops, I mean, hey there! My name is Yogi as in Yogi Berra, the iconic baseball legend. Even though my namesake was an All-Star and Hall of Famer, I just want to be the star of your life! I’m a 2-year-old, 13-pound, Chi mix… but let’s be honest, I’m an adorable Mexi-mutt through and through. I’m not neutered yet, but I’ll be sure to pencil it in. After years with the Yankees, I somehow landed myself in Tijuana… don’t ask. I recently snuggled my way up from south of the border with The Animal Pad and have been loving life in sunny San Diego! It sure beats the weather in New York I’ll tell ya that. Now all I need to do is to make my way to home plate… maybe with you?

When I’m not playin’ ball, I can be found playing with my pals! I’m a very friendly boy who gets along with other doggos, kitties, and kids alike. I take a few days to warm-up, but once I know I’m SAFE, my personality is out of the park! I’m playful, loving, and the ultimate companion. I love hittin’ the town, playing at the dog park, strolling on a walk or hike, and just being with my hoomans. Once the fun and games are over, I’m happy to curl up for a nap or some good snuggles. With a heart like mine, I know you’ll want me on your team!

In terms of training, I’m quickly learning how to be an MVP. I’m still working on the art of potty training, but I’m a good boy in every other department. But you know what they say… practice makes perfect! I do well on a leash and I’m friendly with everyone I meet. I’m also a sucker for snacks and dinner time, so I’m sure you can keep training me for some treats!

Even though I had a ruff start to my little life, my namesake famously said, “It ain’t over ‘till it’s over.” I may have started on the streets of TJ, I’m ready for my second chance at a loving life with you! I’d fit in well with pretty much any family. Whether you are a solo person, a couple with a cat, or a house full of dogs and kids, I’m game! As long as I get plenty of affection from you, I’m a happy little fella. So what do you say? Are you going to play hard ball or will you take me home today? I pawmise I won’t strike out with you!
