Personality: Turtle is a fantastically friendly boy who loves his humans unconditionally. He has been neutered. Turtle was rescued from the terrible conditions at ESLR in Ensenada and has gone through a lot in his little life. Due to his trauma, he can be shy around new people or big dogs. However, once Turtle knows he’s made a friend, he comes out of his shell! Turtle adores his doggy friends and kids alike. He loves being active and getting out to explore. Most of all, he loves being your loyal sidekick. Turtle is happiest kicking back and hanging with his humans & fur siblings.
Education: This smart boy is already bathroom and leash-trained! He doesn’t pull and loves getting out for some exercise. Turtle’s biggest area of growth is with his separation anxiety. Due to his strong bond and trust in his people, he cries or chews when left alone. He’s making pawgress with pen training but still needs more practice. You know what they say… slow and steady wins the race!
Favorite Activities: Turtle loves belly rubs, being cuddled, and hugged. He’s a total love bug! Like any good boy, he lives for treats, long walks, runs, and lying next to his people. Although he’s a medium-sized dog, in Turtle’s eyes, he’s a lap dog! He loves to relax outside and keep his family company.
Looking for: Turtle’s scars tell the story of his ruff past. He is so appreciative of his second chance at life and thrives in the safety of his family. This family man would love to be someone’s little shadow. He should be in a home where people are home most of the day.
