Tripp is your ride or die guy!
Hi pals! My name is Tripp. I’m an easy-goin’ guy with a love for the open road (or an open couch). I’m a 2-year-old, 35-pound, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever mix. I’m not neutered yet, but I’ll make sure to make a pit stop at the vet soon!
My rescue story sure has a lot of twists and turns. Just when The Animal Pad was at max capacity for medical cases, they got a photo of me in Tijuana and knew they had to make an exception. I was one of the worst TVT cases they had ever seen. I was in ruff shape with tumors and sores from head to toe (literally, an entire eye was covered). Fortunately, a team of rescuers got me the love and care I so desperately needed. Fast forward a month or two, and I’m the happiest, healthiest boy from Highway 1 to Route 66!
Despite what I’ve been through, I’m a friendly fella. I love meeting other pooches while I’m out walking and I’m progressing with my socialization every day. I haven’t met any cats yet, but I’m curious when I come across them. Even though I haven’t met any kids, I’m such a sweetheart that I think we’d be great pals! I’m a moderately active mutt who enjoys nice long walks, playing fetch, and other toys. Once the fun is done, I’m perfectly happy lounging on the couch for some snuggles! I’m an easy-going guy who is easy to love.
Not to brag, but I’m quite the smartie pants. I’m already totally house, bathroom, leash, and crate trained. Talk about the pawfect pup! I might growl a little when strangers come over, but I’ll always settle down once I know they are a friend. I get a little sad and cry when you leave, but I’ll kick back and relax after a few minutes. Overall, I’m a well-trained boy who would love to keep practicing with you! (Especially if there are hot dogs on the horizon).
If you’re looking for an all-around awesome pooch, your search is over! I’m the pawfect balance of playtime and chill-time. Since I have such a happy disposition, I’d fit in well with a variety of furever homes. I think I could be fine with or without another doggo in the house. As long as I get lots of love from you, I’ll be the happiest hound on the road! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application
