Kick back and relax with Sebastian!

Hi, pals! My name is Sebastian, I’m a chill little dude with a whole lotta love to give. I’m a 10-year-old, 15-pound, long-haired chihuahua. I was recently rescued off the euth list from a shelter in Los Angeles. I’m so appreciative of my second chance at life and can’t wait to find a special lady to spend it with!

I have a big heart… literally and figuratively. I have what’s called moderate chronic valvular disease which affects the mitral and tricuspid valves, causing them to leak backward. This gives me a bit of a cough, but it’s nothing I can’t handle! Over time, the progression of this disease is common; I’ll need to check in with the cardiologist on occasion. I take two meds a day: Denamarin Advanced (~$40.00 for a 4 months supply) and Pimobendan (~$60.00 for a month’s supply). When my allergies kick up, I’ve received a Cytopoint injection, which range from ~$65-135.00 depending on which vet we visit. Once you get my meds on auto-ship, it’s smooth sailing! I pawmise to repay you with endless cuddles and companionship.

I’m a super sweet fella who loves his humans (and squeaky toys!) when my space is respected. I may need some decompression time initially, but let’s try food and treats and I can warm up. My favorite activities are following you around the house, lounging outside, and taking upside-down naps (always got to be ready for a belly rub!). I’m a playful boy who adores toys and sniffing around on walks. Afterward, I’m a total cuddle bug. I’m a mellow man who likes to go with the flow. I love my foster mama and I am her lil shadow.

I’m 100% house-trained and will sit by the door and wag my tail when I need to go out. It’s pretty adorable if I don’t say so myself! When I go on walks, my mama holds me closer when I pass stranger dogs because I can be reactive to other dogs. I have been around cats, but I can be reactive if already overstimulated. I do like my space respected, so perhaps older kids are better. I think that I could be okay with another calm dog with a gentle introduction and I actually currently live with 3. At home, I don’t have much separation anxiety. Overall, I’m an easygoing guy who just loves being your companion!

If you’re looking for a pint-sized pal to always be by your side, I’m the little man for you. I’d be best in a mellow home. I have so much love to give and have the happiest disposition. I’m so grateful for this new chapter and I know that I’ll find my fairy tale ending soon… I hope it’s with you! Give me time, space and decompression rest and I will be amazing with you!

My adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
