Kick back and relax with Sebastian!

Hi, pals! My name is Sebastian, I’m a chill little dude with a whole lotta love to give. I’m a 10-year-old, 15-pound, long-haired chihuahua. I was recently rescued off the euth list from a shelter in Los Angeles. I’m so appreciative of my second chance at life and can’t wait to find a special lady to spend it with!

I have a big heart… literally and figuratively. I have what’s called moderate chronic valvular disease which affects the mitral and tricuspid valves, causing them to leak backward. This gives me a bit of a cough, but it’s nothing I can’t handle! Over time, the progression of this disease is common; I’ll need to check in with the cardiologist on occasion. I take two meds a day: Denamarin Advanced (~$40.00 for a 4 months supply) and Pimobendan (~$60.00 for a month’s supply). When my allergies kick up, I’ve received a Cytopoint injection, which range from ~$65-135.00 depending on which vet we visit. Once you get my meds on auto-ship, it’s smooth sailing! I pawmise to repay you with endless cuddles and companionship.

I’m a super sweet fella who loves his humans (and squeaky toys!) when my space is respected and my neck area is avoided being touched or grabbed. I’m partial to the gals and I can get defensive around guys. What can I say, I’m a lady’s man! But let’s try food and treats and I can warm up. My favorite activities are following you around the house, lounging outside, and taking upside-down naps (always got to be ready for a belly rub!). I’m a playful boy who adores toys and sniffing around on walks. Afterward, I’m a total cuddle bug. I’m a mellow man who likes to go with the flow.

I’m 100% house-trained and will sit by the door and wag my tail when I need to go out. It’s pretty adorable if I don’t say so myself! When I go on walks, I walk with a muzzle because I can be reactive to other dogs. I haven’t been around cats or kids, so I’m not sure what I think about them. I think that I could be okay with another calm dog and a gentle introduction, but I haven’t given it a shot. At home, I’m crate trained and don’t have much separation anxiety. Overall, I’m an easygoing guy who just loves being your companion!

If you’re looking for a pint-sized pal to always be by your side, I’m the little man for you. I’d be best in a mellow home with women only. I have so much love to give and have the happiest disposition. I’m so grateful for this new chapter and I know that I’ll find my fairy tale ending soon… I hope it’s with you!

My adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
