Hey fellas! My name is Rocco and I am 3 years old, male neutered Lab mix, weighing a feather-light 78 lbs. JK. I was taken in by TAP when I had to give up my family as I was not able to become friends with the other dog. But I have been a total good boy at my foster home and waiting patiently for my furever family. I am fully bathroom and leash trained and love to go on hiking and sniffing adventures. And then nap hard on the couch afterwards.
My foster family has been conscious about doing slow introductions to other dogs, but understands that I probably just get very jumpy-excited, and mostly I am gentle on the leash. I have met kids, but the said jumpiness may not be suitable for lil ones. I prefer smaller dogs and do have a crush on a Pug and Frenchie in my neighborhood. I also enjoy keeping an eye in the kitchen and around teh neighborhood. Dropped food is no joke. I do have some separation anxiety but I calm down after 30 min or so. I am very happy-go-lucky and a total outdoor pup and any active family will be very happy with me! Do keep an eye on my tricks around door locks and car windows! Even if I am out exploring, my recall is pretty good. I can also relax around my people when home and we can totally snuggle. I do have a high interest in small, wild creatures, so a home with no cats will be best for me.
I’d love an active family! I’d do wonderfully with older kids or an active individual that has the time to spend with me to burn off the energy and curiosity. Couch cuddles are quite mandatory too! I just get somewhat sad when alone for a bit, but I never get destructive. I will also prefer being the only pupper. If you think this good boy will rock your world, let’s meet up!
