Hi, it’s Rachel Green!

And yes, my hair is all the rage, and dogs are requesting groomers for my cut. Teehee! I am a 3 year old, spayed female Spaniel mix and weighing about 22 lbs. I came from the horrible Ensenada shelter that TAP has posted about, and I am so glad to have found a wonderful foster home. Now will I get doubly lucky with an amazing family with you? I am progressing rapidly with bathroom and leash training. I have some separation anxiety in the crate when left alone, but I do sleep there at night, quite nicely. I do settle down after a bit of whining when left alone at home. I am still fearful, no thanks to my past, so tend to shy away from strangers that I see on walks. No aggression here, just some residual fear. We’ll get over it together.

I am a sweet, calm and mellow gal with a killer smile! That’s how I get all these people to love me! I am a lounger and a major cuddler, but I do get some energetic spurts when playing fetch. I am quite dog friendly, but haven’t met kids or kitties yet. I do have fear of strangers and I get shy. But desensitization is helping me and I would love to continue confidence building training. I am truly an old soul in a young body and all I want to do is snuggle and give kissies.

I would love a mellow home with all the love in the world! I nice couch wouldnt hurt either! I am sure once I build confidence and come out of my shell fully, I will be winning many F.R.I.E.N.D.S! I may do well with another dog friend, and with older kids as I like calmness, and also I can excitedly nip when I play. But it’s all in good fun! If you think we can be each other’s lobsters, let’s meet!

My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
