Why hello there, hooman! My name is Mama Bear. I am a 1-year-old, female, Terrier Mix weighing around 14 lbs. I am here because The Animal Pad rescued me from Tijuana. I was found pregnant in an abandoned house in TJ. My foster got me 1 week before puppies were born. I am potty trained, I taught myself the doggy door quickly and I prefer to go outside. I am not yet leash trained. I had puppies so my foster kept me close to home so I wouldn’t track anything to them. I am a little fearful of the leash, but I will come around once I’ve had some exposure. I have a scheduled spaying appointment.
Let’s share a little bit about me! I am a little shy in new situations, but once I settle in, I am a silly and sweet pup! I would say I am low maintenance. I mostly like to stick around the house, cuddle and eat food. I am happy to be independent or cuddly. The human bed is my favorite place! I like to cuddle but I do not want to be picked up or held in arms (unlikely to change). I am doggo friendly. I would do fine with or without another doggo, but I prefer smaller gentle doggos. My foster is unsure how I would be with little hoomans but probably would be okay. I prefer a home without little hoomans and I prefer calm, gentle handling. I was likely mistreated in the past and rough handling scares me.
My perfect furever home would be one with love! I am okay alone or with other small gentle doggos. I am low energy. I occasionally bark at noises but I’m friendly with new hoomans who come over. My adoption fee is $400 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
