Age: 1 year
Gender: Female
Breed: Mastiff and Cane Corso Mix
Weight: 57 lbs
Personality: Kobe is a friendly and loving girl who loves being with her people! She is easy-going and can generally adjust well to new environments. Although she loves being around the company of her human and doggie friends, she also does just fine on her own and shows no signs of separation anxiety.
Education: Kobe is fully potty-trained and house-broken. While on a leash, she pulls when excited but knows a proper heel when asked. As far as her health goes, she is on special food for her sensitive stomach and prefers Hills Science Diet Perfect Digestion dry food (~$82 per bag, depending on where purchased). Kobe has also had one eye removed prior to being rescued by TAP. If approaching from the side where she has no eye, a slow and careful approach is needed, as she can get easily startled. Finally, she is an extremely smart girl but can be stubborn and challenging around those who do not devote enough time and effort to training her. Therefore, she would thrive with someone who has experience with her specific breed so that she can get the mental stimulation and physical activity that she needs each day.
Favorite Activities: Kobe loves playing with other doggies, meeting new friends, and learning tricks!
Looking for: Kobe would do best in a home with another doggie sibling to have as a companion and playmate. As mentioned above, she’d do best with a family who has experience with her specific breed and who could devote the time and love to training her to be the best version of herself! Kitties in the home would probably be okay, and she would prefer to be around older kiddos (10 years and up) who could respect her boundaries and space.
Adoption Fee: $ 400
??????????
Hi, friends! My name is Kobe, and I’m a one-year-old, 57-pound, spayed Mastiff and Cane Corso Mix female, looking for my furever home. I was adopted as a puppy after being pulled from the Riverside County shelter, where I was on the euthanasia list. I successfully had my eye removed, was rehabilitated and placed into a home with a family and another dog where I thrived, until I no longer did due to no fault of my own. The Cane Corso in me runs deep, so I will need to have an owner this time around who has experience with my specific breed; one who’d also be willing to dedicate the time to training me. I know you’re out there, and I can’t wait to meet you!
As far as my personality goes, I’m a friendly and loving girl who just LOVES being around my people. Though I can be shy and timid sometimes when in noisy environments, I am generally an easy-going and well-adjusted gal. I love having human company, but I also do just fine on my own and show no signs of separation anxiety. My favorite activities include playing with other doggies, meeting new friends, and learning new tricks. I’ve been told that I’m a super-smart pup and am very well trained, so I’d thrive in a home where I could get the mental stimulation and physical exertion that I need each day.
Let’s see, what else? I am fully potty-trained and house-broken. While on a leash, I tend to pull when I’m excited, but I know a proper heel when asked. As you can see, I am missing an eye. It doesn’t affect me much, but I do tend to get easily startled if someone approaches me from the side where I have no eye. Therefore, a slow and careful approach would be much appreciated! Finally, I have a sensitive tummy, so I’m currently eating Hills Science Diet Perfect Digestion dry food (~$82 per bag, depending on where purchased).
I would do best in a home with another doggie sibling, who could be my companion and playmate. I love dogs and people and love to please you with great listening skills and can follow direction easily. Kitties in the home would probably be okay, and I would prefer older kiddos (10 years+) who could respect my boundaries and space.
Do we sound like a match? If so, my adoption fee is $400 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.
