To make a family perfect, on Showtime or beyond!
Hullo hullo! My name is Ian and I am the good-looker from the ‘Shameless’ crew rescued from Mexico! I am a lil pupper, all of 7 months old and a German Shepherd mix. I have been a good boi at my foster home and learning good bathroom habits. I am fully house and leash trained. Not to brag, I am a smartie and getting hang of some commands! I have been fixed!
I recently was diagnosed with megaesophagus. It’s not a biggie, but I need to eat in an upright/seated position because my esophagus doesn’t work properly, and I need one medicine for life. I readily take my meds with a cheesy snack. I have been feeding from a raised platform by myself now and I have been doing good! From needing to be fed by hands, I have moved on to eat like a good boy from the platform. As long as I take my prescribed medicines regularly, I am all good!
Like the broody teen on the show, I am figuring life out. but I pepper it with a bunch of curiosity. I was on the shy side when I come across new people, and kids, but I am growing up to be a friendly guy, with all the politeness of a perfect doggo. Also, I love to play and that definitely helps! I now know the magic of Kong toys and playing tug on rope toys. Like I said earlier, I have the smarts and I have the playful energy. Once I am all done, I will snooze off by myself in my bed or the crate. I do need naps so that I am well-rested and not cranky. I may steal your spot on the couch, but I am cute to get away with it! I definitely am evolving to be more social and if the dogs and people are looking friendly, I am a happy chappy! I am pretty good with older kiddos too!
My foster fam claims that I am a super handsome, smart and independent fella and any family would be lucky to have me! I would need Puppy 101 lessons to be the best grown-up boy! As long as I have love and attention, I will be good. An experienced dog owner will certainly be great! My adoption fee is $400 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.
