The girl with hope eternal!
Hola! My name is Esperanza. What’s yours?! I am a 4-year-old, female, Pitbull weighing around 50 lbs. I am here because The Animal Pad rescued me from Tijuana only 3 months ago. When I was rescued, I was skin and bones and the volunteers who picked me up thought that I would not make it. Guess my name kinda makes sense… “hope”… I had a foster family in TJ who I lived with for 2 months before coming to San Diego and becoming my foster mom’s foster pup! I am all bathroom trained barring an occasional accident. I am pretty good on the leash, but when I am too excited, I tend to pull. Nothing that some training wouldn’t fix! I have a scheduled spaying appointment.
Alright, let’s get into a little bit about me! My foster mom says I am a very sweet girl! I love to cuddle and smother. I can’t help it, love just feels so amazing! Wouldn’t you agree? When at home, I love to nap. But at the park, I LOVE to CHEW on balls. I will fetch a few times before going in on a ball! This also means I prefer to go on walks than to be at a dog park. Due to my past, I am not fond of big doggos and I would rather keep to myself than play with other doggos. The 2 weeks that my foster mom has had me, I havent gotten into anything when left alone and no ripping apart shoes or toys. Hoomans tend not to like that, just wanna please my hooman. I am very doggo friendly other than the big ones. I love hoomans more and the more I see them and express by kisses! When it comes to little hoomans, I have not yet interacted with too many of them. I pass them on walks and I just keep walking. I will however love and run up to a little hooman if they have any types of balls. Did I mention my favorite thing? ALL TYPES OF BALLS! Soccer balls are my favorite to chase and rip apart!
If you adopt me, I will love you unconditionally! I have been through so much and I still have so much love to give. I may take some time to warm up to hoomans but once I know you it’s like I’ve known you forever. I am so easy going, I will follow you around and try and be friends with everyone. I need a yard or a house with space that I can chase the ball on my own or maybe with another smaller doggo to be my buddy. I would love to be outdoors, so an active family would be great! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
