Hi, pals! My name is Ellie. I’m a sweet, spunky miniature Schnauzer who is ready to be your bestie. I’m just a pup at 1-year-old and a whopping 9 pounds. I was pulled from the LA shelter euth list and I’m oh-so thankful for this second chance at life. I’ll keep my paws crossed that I can spend it with you!
I’m a fun-loving girlie that adores the great outdoors, exploring, and taking long walks. I’m also obsessed with my furry foster siblings including other small pooches and even a cat! Don’t tell the other dogs, but the cat might actually be my favorite! I can be a bit feisty when it comes to dogs that I don’t know, especially the big ones. I think this is fear-based and hope I can gain confidence with time. I can also be a little skittish in new situations (wouldn’t you be if you were 9 pounds?) but once I’m comfortable I can’t get enough of your love and attention.
Not to brag, but I’m already house and crate trained, which makes me easy to bring into your life! I struggled a bit in the beginning with being on leash but I’m making great strides. I do well in the car and love joining you wherever the day takes us! I don’t have any separation anxiety, although I haven’t been truly left alone since I’m either with my foster siblings or accompanying my foster fam when they’re out and about. What can I say, I’m a passenger princess!
I have an even temperament, I’m smart, and did I mention downright adorable? My foster Mom says I never stop wagging my tail– really only when I fall asleep because I am so happy!
