Little miss sunshine!
Hey guys! My name is Eleanor and I am a 3 years old, female, spayed Shepherd mix, weighing about 56 lbs. I was rescued from Mexico, survived distemper and TVT and had a litter of pups that have been adopted to wonderful homes. Now it’s mama’s turn as a healthy dog. I have been picking up good house manners and leash trained. I still need to master bathroom training, but having a doggie door and going out before bed helps me. I have some separation anxiety, and having company will help me.
I am a sweet young lady and love my people with the utmost loyalty! I am curious and smart, with a willingness to learn with positive reinforcement. I have already picked up a bunch of cues! I enjoy being around my people with plenty of affection to show. My mischievous eyes glint when I have acquired socks! I do have dominating and food resource guarding tendencies, so I should be the only dog in the home. Living on the streets has left me with some food anxiety. I would do best in a home with no cats or kids.
I can be the perfect dog for someone who seeks a loyal companion. I am easy to walk with and responsive to positive reinforcement training. I can be the best friend combined with an alert dog system that barks but quietens when my person tells me. I can have playdates with other dogs, similar size, with a slow and proper intros. If you think we can be a family together, let’s meet up! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
