David Rose is the Schitt!

Oh, hey! I’m David Rose, as in THE David Rose. Like my namesake, I’m irresistibly charming, outgoing, and an absolute gift! Unlike my Schitt’s Creek character, I’m drama-free and always a good boy. I’m a 2-year-old, 33-pound, Spaniel mix. I’m already neutered and after some TLC, I’m a healthy gent. I was rescued from the ESLR shelter in Ensenada that made the Schitt’s Creek Motel look like a Four Seasons. I’m oh-so appreciative of my new life, my tail is always wagging!

I’m a total sweetheart who gets along very well with other dogs, cats, and kids. I’m gentle and a great listener. I’m a crowd-pleaser! I love running around the yard with my furry friends, taking all the toys out of the box, and joining you while you hit the town. I’m a little lover boy and want all the hugs and cuddles. I love to both socialize and kick back for a nice nap or some snuggles. I’m a well-balanced guy! I have been successfully introduced and live with a cat. I am a scaredy cat myself and rather hand with my dog pals and people:)

I’m already crate-trained and house-trained with very infrequent accidents. I’ve started leash training but sometimes I pull in new, large spaces. It’s important that I’m securely on the leash so that I don’t run off. I can get a little grumbly over my dinner so I eat separately from the other pups. But like, can you blame me? All in all, I’m a really great listener. I wait outside the kitchen unless invited in and I’m very eager to make my people proud.

Not to brag, but I’m honestly such a gem! I badly want to be someone’s everything and will be the most wonderful adventure buddy and soul dog. My foster says that my, “ears spark joy and his hugs give life.” I would do best in a home where I have company most of the time (people or other dogs). I would be great with kids and I’m always gentle. I could be in an active home or a chill home that exercised me daily. As long as I can be a social butterfly and your little lovebug, I’ll be happier than David Rose at a 5-star spa day! Let’s meet and see if it’s meant to be!

My adoption fee is $450 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
