Hi! My name is Blitz and I am a 6 years old, male neutered Siberian Husky and weigh about 63 lbs. I have a ruff story to tell. So sit back.

I was boarded at Military Mutts, a low cost board facility in Aguanga, for a year. The kennel was shut down after its license was refused (they were facing several animal cruelty complaints — from dogs becoming infested with maggots to a horse dying from starvation ) and all of the dogs were impounded at Riverside shelter. My family was located and notified and I got to my foster family after they agreed to pick me up in December. My foster mama was loving on me during my freedom ride home, and noticed an ulcerated mass on my bum and a few missing teeth. I already had a bad time and was not doing well with so many vet visits, and I was traumatized from my kennel days. I was getting better at a warm and safe foster home, but I did need help with trusting vets and groomers again due to illnesses. My ‘family’ decided that it wasn’t worth their time and money, and ‘furever’ was a lie for them. They had the guts to ask my foster mama to euthanize me, but she stood up for me and told me that my one, true family is out there, who will treat me with love and respect, that I or any sentient being deserves.

I am currently getting better from my illnesses and awaiting biopsy results. The vet thinks my autoimmune condition can also be helped! Also, I am needing help to rebuild my trust with vets and groomers to handle and touch me. Trazadone has helped. Inspite of my hard time, I have bloomed at my foster home and loving it with my foster siblings, kiddo and dog. I hear loud noises, activities, and I am less and less unfazed with each passing day. I love my crate and it’s my happy place! I am also fully bathroom and leash trained! I know quite a few cues as a smarty pants. I have the energy to go on long walks, but can chill at home rather nicely. I am not a big husky talker, and just use growlies as my talking style.

I do have some resource guarding tendencies with other dogs, but with mama, now that I know her, I let her swap. If I get scared, I roll on my belly as submission and it is not asking for pets. Someone who understands doggie body language would be ideal for me!

I am so happy that my foster mama investigated my illnesses to be found treatable and did not listen to my previous owners. I have so much life and love and cant wait to share it all! I am hoping to trust again. I would be happiest in an active home and with patient people who will allow me to decompress. I have been friendly with new dogs, but quite like females. I do not like rough housing and hugs, so respectful kids will be best! I cant wait to go on my furever adventure with you!

My fee is $250 and please contact my foster mama at Charlottelstone@gmail.com and 619-214-2367 for further information and adoption.
