Write your own story with Cat in the Hat!

Hello, hello! I’m Cat in the Hat. I’m a very good girl as a matter of fact! Dr. Seuss’s character aside, I’m one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet and a total cuddle bug. I’m a 2-year-old, 35-pound lab mix. I was rescued from Mexico with my puppies, Thing 1 and Thing 2. Now that they are ready to start some fun in a place of their own, I’m ready to snuggle on into a furever home!

I’m a well-balanced gal who enjoys everything from walks and hikes to cuddles on the couch. I do well with most other dogs but would prefer a gentle introduction to make sure we are compatible. I like cats but don’t understand why they don’t want to play chase with me! I do very well with the kiddos and all humans. I’m gentle and will never turn down pets. I immediately warm up to strangers and want to be everyone’s bestie.

As everyone knows, the Cat in the Hat is filled with a lot of good tricks! My top tricks include being house and bathroom-trained. I also do well on the leash and I’m working on not getting too excited when seeing other pooches. I can be protective of my food around other dogs, but I don’t have any reaction around people. I may get a little sad when you leave, but I don’t destroy the house like original Dr. Seuss character. Life is easy with me!

If you’re looking for a cuddly cutie who will be the best binge-watching buddy– I’m your girl! I love nuzzling into my people for pets and pawmise to show you all of my love and affection. I would do well in a variety of homes and do a great job with all people ranging from the little ones to older folks. I might need some patience as I continue to acclimate but I’m well worth it! Let’s turn the page and start our own story together!

My adoption fee is $400 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
