Personality: Bernie is a sweet, goofy, and playful boy who is sure to bring joy to any home. He was surrendered with his brother, Riddick, and is currently thriving in a foster home with other dogs. Bernie absolutely loves toys and is always playing with the other dogs, making him a great companion for an active household. Playful and gentle, he would make a wonderful family dog!
Education: He is crate trained and is improving with his potty training, though he still needs some work on leash training.

Looking for: Bernie was found as part of a litter dumped at SDHS, and he initially struggled with being undersocialized and shut down. However, he has made strides since being surrendered with his brother, Riddick. He would do best in a patient home where he can continue to grow in confidence, with other dogs to help guide him.
Special needs: Undersocialized and shutdown. Will need help with confidence building with a lot of patience and behavior modification training. Need to go in a home with dogs who can mentor.
