Hi, there! My name is Abbie. I’m a sweet, mellow girl who loves love! I’m a 3-year-old, 33-pound Beagle mix. I’m already spayed and after getting treated for heartworm, I’m a happy, healthy gal! I was originally rescued from the streets of TJ by a Beagle rescue. However, they could not provide me with treatment, which is how I ended up with TAP! I’ve been through some ruff times but I’m hopeful my fairytale ends in a furever home with you.
I’m a super sweet gal who loves her people and other pooches (and I’ll never turn down a treat!). It’s clear that life hasn’t always been kind to me and I can be a bit shy and skittish. I am easily spooked and can be timid around teenagers and men. I am hopeful that I’ll continue to build trust and confidence once I’m with my furever family!
I’m a good girl who is making great pawgress with house training. I can be coaxed into the crate with a bone but once it’s in there, I’m going to protect it! I do have some resource guarding (typical Beagle!) but I’m generally a very friendly gal. I do well on the leash and adore going out for evening walks. I don’t get any separation anxiety but I don’t like being confined. I’ve only been alone for a couple of hours and would much rather be by your side! I pawmise I’m an adorable, loving companion.
As I’m building my confidence, It would be best if I’m in a mellow home. I would do well with or without other pooches, as long as I have my humans to give me love!
